Maine Emergency Medical Services Department of Public Safety Requirements

  • Although we strive to keep everything updated, please check with your state EMS Representative for the most current re-certification information.

  • Maine licenses valid for 2 years from month of issuance.

  • In lieu of the license renewal continuing education hour requirements, an applicant may submit a current NREMT certification card at the license level. Unless Maine EMS determines otherwise, a license renewal based upon the NREMT certification shall carry an expiration that is concurrent with the applicant’s  NREMT certification’s expiration date.   Maine EMS Rules  (Chapter 5, 3C,1(g))
